Freezing rain warning in effect for:

  • Deep River - Whitney - Eastern Algonquin Park
  • Western Algonquin Park - Lake of Two Rivers

Freezing rain is expected or occurring.

Freezing rain continues this morning.

Freezing rain will continue for a few hours this morning, with ice accumulation of 5 to 10 millimetres likely in most areas.

Untreated surfaces will be icy and slippery as a result of the freezing rain.

Freezing rain will change over to rain around noon temperatures struggle to get to just above the zero degree mark.

This weather system may cause power outages and road closures.

Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery. Slow down driving in slippery conditions. Watch for taillights ahead and maintain a safe following distance. Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Utility outages may occur.
